My Aunt lived in South Carolina, becuase she was elderly and she also help raise me so i filled i kinda owed her. Also her phone and TV were cut of this i did not want her to be without a phone or TV. She was 78, and i said i would pay her bills for Tv and phone, i did not want it to be where it was like one day and her phone was cut off, i did nt know so i sent a neighbor to check on her. She had had a heartattack and was laying in the floor. So i payed those to bills for her for over a year. And stupid me let them take it right out of my bank account. Boy was that a mistake. So when my aunt died last month i called them to tell them she had passed. They informed me untill her reciver was returned, my accoutn at the bank would be chraged $480.00. I said oh hell no it will not. They got very ugly with me and told me they could take it out of my account because they had my account # and that i had been paying her bills. I told them i would pay her last bill. But that i would send them a money order, becuase i was closing my bank account down, they were going to steal money and i know i would never gotten it back. See i also have them for my TV, and since i closed my bank account they are trying to tell me they have to have a credit card or bank # that that was the rules. I read over my contract. I did not see that anywhere, I have been paying my bill, but through a check cashing place where they except att and Directv bills. Payed on time to. When i frist got directv, i was promised free instalation, 3 month free hbo, showtime and starzz. I got none of those, and it cost me 29.99 to get it installed. I also fell for that year at one price, 42.95, then recived a letter telling me they were going up 3 to 4 dollars. I wrote them back told them they had broke there contract, well you know how big companys are. It takes people like us to stand up and say no to them. I even done the thingie where if you get someone to join, they take so much off your bill. Well i have nt seen any off my bill of hers. This company need to be delt with. And beleave it or not, our people who run this country are trying to pass a law where it s ok for this kind of pratice from directv. Get To writting people.
