I waited a month and a half to write this report hoping Antonio Chandler would make right the wrong he created. I am not doing this to defame him or to be vindictive, rather to warn people so they do not need to go through what my family has had to endure due to Antonio Chandler.
Antonio Chandler came to our home with the promise to pack, load, and unload, and set up our stuff in our home. We were moving from Zionsville, IN to Phoenix, AZ. He asked for a deposit and half up front. We gave him 2 seperate checks. He cashed both before he was supposed to. Antonio initially was very kind and easy to work with. He seemed geniune and sincere.in the following days and weeks we started to see his unprofessionalism and deceptive ways.
Antonio was supposed to pack our home Feb. 15th and move us out Feb. 16th. The morning of the 15th he was suppposed to be at our home at 7 am. That day we were up expecting Antonio and his movers to arrive, the hours passed by and we heard NOTHING from him. So around noon my husband called to see what was going on, no answer. We heard nothing until about 2 pm. Finally, he called and said that he was in the hospital and couldnt move us that day. He asked if we could push it out a week. We were happy to adjust. We told him however, we HAD to be out by midnight of the night of the 28th or our landlord was going to charge us half of our rent! He said no problem.
Antonio did come and pack up the house the next week, sort of, there were several items not packed properly and not packed at all! We ended up having to do a lot of the packing ourselves and even had to leave things behind. So the morning he was supposed come load the boxes in the truck was the 28th, the day we had to be out. He called to say he had no available truck to load and hopefully he could get one the next day. We told him that was not gonna work, that if we were in the house past midnight we were gonna have to pay half of the next rent. He did NOTHING to try to fix the situation.
The next morning, the 1st of March he called and said he was in the emergency room again and would not be able to make the move. He left us completely stranded. His workers that he used to pack the house were teenage boys, although he said he was going through health issues, which I don't believe because when asked for documentation he could not provide. He had no one in his "company" to cover the move, but him. He left us to do the work, the driving, the unloading, etc. He has kept our money with the promise to refund, it's been over a month and a half and we haven't recieved a penny! His business address is his home address. He runs a hussle, not a business! He does not have qualified movers, just him and his teenage boys. During the move he even asked us "What do you consider a rip off?" And in turn ripped us off!
There are several other reports on here stating similar instances. Antonio was also charged with 3 felony robberies, which you can look up the court docs on the internet. It appears that he intentionally robs people and leaves them in horrible positions when he "moves" them. We had to leave several of our possesions behind, we had to rent our own truck and trailor, he has kept our money, and he tries to give us the run around about refunds and excuses why it wasn't his fault that he screwed us over!
Antonio is not an honorable person. He needs to be stopped and shut down! My husband and I WILL be filing charges this week! Please for your sake do not use Antonio and if you do, give him NO money upfront and be prepared for the move from hell!
