Suzy's Courteous Moving Service - Three Cousin's Moving Service
Looks like a good deal, but they deliberately drag out the time to get as much money as possible

This company seemed nice enough when I called them to set up an appointment for a move date.

The first problem occurred when I was waiting on moving day, and no one arrived during the scheduled time frame. I called to find out what the delay was, and was told that they'd accidentally scheduled the movers for a different date. They then offered to send over two people they could call in, and I accepted. It went completely downhill from there.

Truck size: 15'

House stats: one short flight of stairs, 95% of the large furniture was on ground level, 75% of the boxes were on ground level... 4 bedrooms but only 2 had furniture in them (of the other two, one was
completely empty and one contained boxes and furniture that was never put in the truck), 3 baths but only 2 of them had anything in them.

General move stats: everything was packed in boxes when the movers arrived, and all furniture that needed to be moved was disassembled and taped (to avoid drawers opening). Movers were not required to do
anything but move things into the truck, nor did they have to wait for anything to be packed up.

The old address and the new one are about a mile apart.

Misc.information: the crew took numerous breaks, stopped to talk to everyone there several times before during and after moving any single item, and on many occasions refused any help from myself or any of the other people I had there helping me pack up (I myself offered at least 7 times, and that's not counting my boyfriend and various friends offering to help multiple times as well).

Since they only took cash and the move was already starting to take much longer than it should have, the movers were informed that I only had enough cash in my pocket to cover up to 5 hours at the absolute most (if there was no tip) at the 3 hour mark, again at the 4 hour mark (when they finally managed to pack up one single truck load and get it down the street), and then once more at the 5 hour mark. When it hit the 5.5 hour mark my friends and I just marched up the truck despite their protests and started moving boxes out of the truck ourselves, and from there the truck was cleared in less than half an hour.

Only one truck load was moved, and it left well over half of my belongings at my old house. It took me and a friend 2 days to finish moving everything because of our work schedules and only having my pickup truck, which cost me hundreds of dollars out of my security deposit because I was supposed to be completely out of that house the day the movers were supposed to have moved everything.

I am still waiting to hear back as to why it took the moving crew 6 hours to move one 15' truck load just down the street, keeping in mind that it would have taken even longer if my friends and I hadn't taken over in that last half hour.

The Better Business Bureau tried repeatedly to communicate with this company regarding this situation, and they completely ignored them as well as the messages and emails I had sent. This took place back in May and to date they have yet to give any sort of response on the issue.

They have cheap rates, but you really get what you pay for with these guys.
