AKA Clearview Warning Slamming Customer with Energy Assistance Program

I received a call from a young lady claiming to be with the ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM to inform me that I am entitled to a rate reduction on my electric bill. She was calling to help me to apply the new rate of 0.0959 cent per KWH all I had to do is verify my Account number and complete a brief verification with her. I questioned her why she needed my account number since she is from the state she should have that information. She started talking about how CL&P does not provide this data to them, that is the only thing they would need. After talking to her supervisor Rich they finally came clean and admitted that they just where a telemarketing company based in FL calling customers to enroll them with Positive Energy VS CL&P for my Electric Company.
