To start off;
This is one of the worst security companies you can ever work for. A friend of mine was promised by their management, that if he quit his current job he held at the time and would come work for them on mobile patrol, he would be paid $18.00 an hour. He listened to them and once he quit his current job and went to work for them, after two pay cheques they drastically dropped his wage down from $18.00 to $16.00 without any sort of notification, either written or verbal which is illegal according to employment standards. When he found out upon seeing his pay cheque and brought it to managements attention, he became being bullied and harassed. When he was no longer with the company, he returned his uniform dry cleaned and was not given his dry clean costs back.
All securita's calgary management personell are a*holes who will do anything to f* you over. As a result of Securita Canada's shady management dealings and lies, they were taken to court and sued for the difference and reported to Alberta Employment Standards.
There is no honor among thieves, and as soon as legal action was taken against the company, the company took prompt action and fired Scott Gardner, the management individual who at the time promised my friend $18.00 an hour to eliminate any witnesses for the trial. Securita Canada lost at the trial and was forced to pay court costs on top of the judgment to my friend. Ian MacDonald, the main manager is the worst bully walking on gods green earth and will do any shady thing out there to bully you into quitting and once the worst comes to worse and will fabricate lies and falsify paperwork. Their secretary Joan that they currently have is a 6'2 weird looking creature with short spiked blonde hair and resembles nothing of what a normal female should look like. She is psycho and snaps at guards not to mention loves to talk down to them. The individual who took over Scott Gardner's place after his firing is Leith Paull, a bald headed whiny guy with a shady looking mustache and goatee style beard who is REKNOWN for f*ing guards/officers over in order to cause overturn and that way he keeps his job making it look like everyone leaves on their own when in reality, he is the one who f*s them over in order to keep his own position. Numerous pay errors occured as well due to the fact their payroll are not real accountants and have no idea what they are doing or as a strategy to make the guard quit on his own.
Upon speaking to numerous other guards who have worked for Securitas Canada in Calgary, they all say the same exact thing... One being Andrew Lewis, who stated to me that his supervisor "f* him over". Those were his exact words. Another individual i met who is now doing security at the Saddledome has told me that Securitas f* him over as well, hired him as mobile for a week then once he was hired, Leith Paull made up some bs* excuse in regards to some hubcap. He stated that Leith Paull told him that the Hub cab was damaged so thats why they fired him out of the blue..
Their guards are treated as complete disposable useless s*.. Need I say more? And this not only has occurred to one person, but to thousands, literally thousands of security officers/guards who are looking to become accustomed to law enforcement.
You will not get it at securitas canada in calgary... Steeer clear!!! Do not say i did not warn you.
