Having moved from CO to WA in 2001 and everything went off without a hitch, I naturally expected the same treatment when I moved from WA to FL.
Since purchasing has been part of my job description over many years, I know the importance of getting at least three quotes before making a decision to buy.
I now realize my mistake was getting quotes over the internet! One quote came in at just over $3K, and the other two were $2500 each. I had decided to go with WestEast, but they had been out of the office for a Jewish holiday. I spoke with Kristin at NationWide and she said they could meet the $2500 price.
When the movers showed up, they were in a plain white truck and wore no uniforms, there were no identifying logos. They said they were just using the truck to take my stuff to Seattle where it would be loaded onto the truck. That made sense to me.
The long and short of it is that I arrive in FL, some company named "Flux Transportation" has my goods, the price is more than I had been quoted, and they would not let me have my items.
I want to know if anyone else has had an experience with them good or bad. Does anyone know if they have any other AKA's?
It has been over 4 months since I've had my stuff, and I've been reading about Nationwide being indicted by the Miami FBI. I filled out a mover complaint off their website, but I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience with them.
