Funeral Chapel failed to produce my deceased sister's headstone

Myself along with several family contracted with Carter Funeral Chapel to provide funeral services for my sister who died in a car accident on 3/28/09. After arrangements for the funeral were made I was referred to an employee or associate at funeral home named Gloria McCaskill I was told handled ordering the funeral headstones. We made the arrangements for the stone and I mailed a check back to the business on 4/10/09 because they couldn’t accept credit or debit cards. The funeral went off without a hitch and we were very pleased with the service, the problems began very soon afterward when we started to inquire about the stone, because the date it was due came and passed. At some point we were told Gloria took several orders and never fulfilled them and we had to reorder the stone. More time came and passed and each time we had to do the contacting, we were patient, mother’s day passed again no contact. My father passed away in August, my deceased sister’s birthday was 1/13; my family had to visit the grave site with no stone. All attempts have resulted in a run around with this business; I have over 40 calls to them and not 1 return call to resolve the issue. This business has found it easy to ignore me and not take my calls because I’m geographically living in North Dakota and my family still residing in Chicago isn’t equipped to pursue a resolution.
