Oasis Van Lines
911 North Buffalo Drive, Ste 109, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89128 Oasis VanLines: P/U in December and haven't seen them since. Budget Vanlines arranged moving and claim no responsibilty/do not return calls. Budget gave delivery date and they never showed

I contracted with Budget Van Lines to pick up and deliver boxed items. Just pick up and drop off. They sub-contracted with Oasis Van Lines who picked up 5 days late... Complaining of the weather. I had no say in who Budget contracted with and thought Budget has been around forever and they will be good and take care of my things and actually get them to me.

I was told they will deliver in about 2 weeks, give or take a couple of days. I paid a deposit on-line to Budget, paid half of the balance on pick up and the other half was to be paid on delivery. I was quoted a price estimate, and I knew if my load weighed more, there would be charge for the amount I was over.

My things were traveling around the country for over 2 weeks when I called Oasis and asked where my stuff is. They said I was overweight and I owed them, literally, double the original delivery price. If I was overweight, I would expect a call, from them, pretty close to pick up time and not at the time they were supposed to deliver my things. At that time they told me they would be here on that weekend give or take 3 or 4 days.

I called to try to get a delivery date again, because I hadn't heard they were not going to be here after the last fictious deliver date—I actually heard nothing from Oasis or Budget, after they gave me another date plus or minus 3 or 4 days. Couldn't pin them down any closer. Their dispatch said because of the weather where I live they could not get to me right now, so they would be late. We aren't having anything but the normal weather here and no snow where I am, but the weather shouldn't keeping a big truck way. There are semi trucks all over the place, including logging trucks and they seem to be moving fine.

I give up on Oasis and went back to Budget Van Lines. I left a message on dispatch voice mail, like the recording said to do and the message said I would get a call back within 2 hours. I know now that is a joke, they have never return a single call. Can't tell you how many times I left messages. I finally found 2 "supervisors" who contacted me after I left about a half a dozen messages on their individual voice mails... It took a couple of days for this call back.

I tell them everything that happened and they were apologetic and say they will call and get a delivery date. I told them about the increased price. When Oasis told me about the increased price I asked if they will be giving me the DOT weight receipt (or whatever it is called) They said of course they would. Then they called me back and this guy was mad I would even ask for the proof of weight. I don't think I am over the original contract weight. They broke that deliver date too without a phone call or anything.

I called Budget back and told them still no truck and they said I needed to call Oasis... That was not a good conversation in the end, but they called Oasis and told them I want a reweigh here at delivery. Oasis had said it would cost more money since they would have to drive to a weight station... No, there is one a mile from my house. OK, then they would give me a 10% discount to not weigh my things here. Can't imagine why they didn't want to weigh in front of me...

A week later, still no delivery. I call Budget and complain and they said the truck had 3 weeks, business days and not counting weekends or holidays. I was originally told just 3 weeks. I think trucks drive through the weekend, but apparently not at Oasis. I'm way past the end of my rope.

Friday I call Budget again leaving at least 8 messages on various voice mails with no call back. Shocking. When I got them, I'm sure they accidentally picked that call up, I was told they guaranteed the dispatcher at Oasis would call me that day and give me a date and she slipped in a price $200 more than the last time we fought over the price. I said NO WAY. Oh, well then she said that Budget and Oasis would call for sure on Saturday after they figure out my "price." No call Saturday at 4 pm and I go through the series of voice mails with no avail.

Four weeks after pick up I cannot get my things delivered. My things are important to me, I can't get a straight price, and NO ONE returns a call or calls when they promise.
I don't even think they have a dispatch at Budget.

Do not ever use Budget Van Lines or Oasis Van Lines. I do not know if I will ever get my things and I can't do anything about it. After reading other e-mails on the these two companies, items are frequently destroyed when they get to you, so if I ever see my things again, they will probably be destroyed. How long can a moving truck carry my things around without destroying everything?
