My mother went to DHS Office to reapply for food stamps on 1/14/09. There appeared to be a security guard signing people up for government aid to help pay their home phone, cable, internet, and cell phone bill. He also stated by filling out the form that you find out if you qualified for for food stamps, medical assistance, etc. My mother called on my cell phone to complete the form. She signed my name. The man gave her number to call to see if I qualified for the services. I called the number several times but it was busy. I was unable to contact anyone. On 1/11/10 I received a bill for $31.15 for home phone service that I did not I had. I do not own a home phone. I never used the minutes.
