Two nights ago my older mother called up to me on the second floor to say someone was on the phone asking for "John" & I thought it was odd because I only use my DC cell phone for calls and use her landline for my computer connection. A gentleman got on the phone and immediately asked if I had been sleeping (which was none of his business) and then proceeded to call me by an unknown last name & I then told him that was not my last name & he kept insisting and started to get angry and rude stating that was my last name.By then I was starting to get upset and asked who he was calling for, he named the law firm and I asked what he wanted, he said he wanted this John % whose last name was not mine. I kept trying to explain to him for a few minutes while he was yelling at me on the phone, I finally said this is ridiculous and told him never to call this number again, and to go to hell. I have worked for law firms for 25 years. I don't owe anybody anything and am not the person he was looking for. Today I received a letter from this law firm addressed to this unknown person & I simply wrote "return to sender, no such person at this address" and I hope it is the end of it. But, in my opinion, this guy should be fired & no one should be subjected to that type of treatment.
