Complaint / Review
AT&T SBC Rebate Department
Deceptive Marketing Practice

Signed on w/AT&T because they offered a discount for internet and basic phone service PLUS a $150.00 rebate to arrive 6-8 weeks later.

Drawing into the deadline without receiving anything, I called AT&T customer "care". They said that they saw the $150 rebate in their notes and that they sent out a $75 "gift card" that I had to go online to activate or something.

I HAVE NOT received anything.

I spoke to a supervisor named Sharise, who told me that they could not send out another one, but that they could credit my account $150. I declined because I don't plan on keeping them after this.

No one could explain why they would send me a $75 "gift card" and not the $150.00 check like they owe me.

I would not have signed on with them without the rebate. They used untruthful marketing practices to convice me and it's upsetting that the best the supervisor could do for me was give me the details of their complaint department.
