Hollywood Entertainment Jobs
HollywoodEntertainmentJobs.com job site scam. Hollywood

Looking for a job? Desperate to break into the world of Entertainment? This is exactly what Hollywood Entertainment Jobs is hoping for!

When you first arrive to the home page, HollywoodEntertainmentJobs.com, you may be tempted to try their $1 for 4 day trial. Be warned, you're about to lock into additional nonrefundable services of $11.95 a month.

The scam is simple. HollywoodEntertainmentJobs.com goes on job posting sites like Craigslist and will post a job opening that is publicly available on any random entertainment companies website. Unknowingly, you respond to the post thinking you're applying directly to a company but instead receive a reply that directs you to HollywoodEntertainmentJobs.com. This is where you find out about the $1 for 4 day trial. If you sign up for this trial period and don't immediately cancel it, they start billing you $11.95. They DO NOT refund your money and to top it off, the email addresses provided in the "contact us" section don't work. If you send an email to any of those emails, you receive a friendly little MAILER-DAEMON telling you the email address you attempted to contact has failed permanently.

Let me spare you the curiosity, time, and money of whether this job has legit postings. The job posts are just a copy and paste or paraphrase of what is publicly posted on corporate websites. To top it off, at the bottom, they just have a link to that very site. For example, if Universal Music Group has a job, they post it on Umusic.com. What HollywoodEntertainmentJobs.com does is copy and paste (or paraphrases) what is listed on Umusic.com and then just posts a link at the bottom directing you to Umusic.com. So why did you just waste your time and money even coming to this stupid site in the first place?

Here's a better suggestion. Find the entertainment companies you like (MTV, Universal Music Group, Etc.) and just save the career links in a folder or bookmark.

Oh well, I wasted $11.95, but that's what they're hoping happens to multiple victims. Learn from my stupid mistake, stay away from this bunk job board.
