I purchased a 2000 pound pallet of grass. My trailer is rated for 1500 pounds so they raised the grass with a fork lift so we could drop half of it onto the trailer one square at a time.
When I returned for the other half the fork lift operator was angry. He signaled me to load it by myself 3 times. I am old and simply could not do that. Eventually when I was not looking he took the pallet of grass and loaded it in the trailer from the side. The trailer has side rails. This is totally inappropriate. The pallet weighed 1000 pounds and it would not fall into the trailer properly. The fork lift operator backed up and tried to push the load into the trailer sideways. The pallet was caught on the side rail. The trailer made very loud noises as the frame was bent. He bent the side rail, the fender and the frame. When I saw what he was doing I got in front of him and waved him off. He was getting ready to damage my trailer further.
