Consumer Priority Service is not honoring the extended warranty

I bought a 42" Philips plasma TV from a company in Brooklyn called IdealAV. Their address is 1643 McDonald Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11230 I bought the TV on 01/05. When I first placed the order, I was told that the shipping was free. The TV was $2059.55. Right after the order, I received an email from them asking me to call Jeffrey. When talking to Jeffrey, he said that I would either have to pay $200 for shipping insurance or alternatively buy 3 year extended warranty from Consumer Priority Services. I chose the extended warranty for $281.95. I am learning now that it is a scam that these companies from Brooklyn are calling customers and making them pay for things like this.
Comsumer Priority Services address is Consumer Priority Service 1678 McDonald Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11230 Tel: (800) 905-0443 Fax: (718) 676-1157 The TV I bought was 42PF7320A/37. It was a brand-new TV [not a refurbished TV] and came with a 1 year manufacture warranty.
Now[15-AUG] after 3 1/2 years, the TV picture is distorted. Hence, I called CPSCentral.com and filed a claim. They rejected the claim and mentioned that the warranty expired. If I bought the Tv on 01/05 and have 3 year extended warranty and the warranty starts after manufacturer's 1 year warranty, it should not expire until 01/05.
I told them that and mentioned that I even have the manual that mentions that I have 1 year warranty. They asked me to scan and send them a copy. I sent it to them and called again. They told me that they contacted Philips and Philips told them that my Philips would not have honored the warranty since I bought it from a unauthorized dealer.
I called Phillips customer support and provided them with the model and the serial number. They confirmed it was indeed a brand new TV. I explained my problem and asked if they would have honored the 1 year warranty since I bought it from IdealAV which is not a authorized dealer. They transfered me to the claims entitlement department. Claims entitlement department confirmed that they would have honored the 1 year warranty as it was a bran new TV.
I called CPSCentral and mentioned this to them. They told me that they need a written letter from Philips stating this. I called Philips again and asked them. They clearly told me that they would have honoured the 1 year warranty. However, they mentioned that they dont issue such letters to customers. I called CPSCentral, they are saying the same thing. Without the letter from Philips, they will consider the warranty as expired and will not fix my issue. I dont really know what to do. Can anyone please point me in the right direction.?
