I contracted with Horseinaround to transport my mare from Michigan to Laton, CA. I paid via Pay-Pal $500 of the quoted $985, with the balance to be paid on delivery. I was given a pick-up date of Aug 7-8th. The morning of the 8th the seller was contacted by Deanna and told that the truck "would not shift" and that we would be updated on Monday.
Twenty days later Nate Fitzpatrick, a subcontractor and owner of FIRST CLASS EQUINE SERVICES picked up my mare on Sunday and promised her in CA by the next Sunday. [today, Sept, 06,09] Nate called me yesterday and told me he was in Texas, at home, and that he was not moving because he had not been paid by Deanna. When I offered to pay him the balance, in cash, when he could put together a load to CA, he stated that he needed the whole amount to move her further.
I don't know where she is, except that she is supposedly at his mothers facility. After reading the other reports here, this has obviously been going on for some time.
Obvoiusly Deanna is not returning my calls now.
