Beware DirectTV Bundles, Bundled me with wrong company

I called DirectTV to obtain cable tv and internet service after hearing a radio commercial about their bundle services for cable/internet services. After giving them my address, they informed me that the only company they could bundle me with for internet was Verizon. I was ok with this.

First of all the installer who installed the DTV dishes drilled one extra hole that was unnecessary, which now sits in the middle of my living room with silicone in it. On top of that, he drilled into my ivory colored stucco walls, 3 ft. From the ground, in the middle of my living room. He refused to do any wire running, but I found out later I was entitled to 25 ft included with my installation. He also used black wiring. It looks absolutley horrible and I have been unable, until today to get an appointment to have another installer come fix it. This was May 22. They are finally now coming July 26.

But this complaint is more importantly about the Verizon bundle. After I gave DTV my address, they informed me I could only bundle with Verizon, so I agreed. They connected me, and thats when the real trouble began. My Verizon modem was to be shipped to me, and a had to set up for a verizon tech to come do a jack installation, and my internet service was set to start June 1.

I never received my modem. I called verizon, and was lied to twice that a new modem was shipped to me. It never was. I finally got the modem when the person they wrongly shipped it to in Glendora NJ actually drove to my house and brought it to me.

Now I needed to get my jack. I took off 2 days of work, because you have to wait from 8am to 5 pm for a tech to come out. They never showed up. Now after over 7 phone calls at about an hour each, I was very frustrated. They sent a tech a third time. This time my son took off work. They still never showed up.

The bottom line is that after almost 10hours on the phone with verizon, missed work for me and my son, we find out that DTV bundled me with an internet service that does not service my house. So now I just spent three days collectively in my family missing work uncompensated, 10 hours on frustrating phone calls and today another 45 minutes on the phone with DTV, transferred over and over. Finally I get a very rude Supervisor, "J. Scott" on the phone who insists its Verizons fault. Verizon was given my address by DTV!

The bottom line is this: Verizon does have horrible customer service, but It was DTV who said, "For yoru address, we can only buyndle your internet service Verizon". This was wrong. Verizon sent the modem and tech's to an address that they were provided by DTV.

This was an absolutley horrible experience. They ruined my livingroom wall, they cost me money, time and patience.in the end, the supervisor J. Scott was totally unwilling to listen, or do anything whatsoever about it.

I feel DTV is a horrible company, and I am hoping an attorney will take this case and get me out of my contract with DTV.
