After bad experience of getting service after signing up, I was frustrated to hear that almost everything that I was told by Braxton (Dishpro sales Rep) were lies. 1) I was sold the "choice ex 39.99" package. Here is what was included (up to 4 rooms free, $100 gas voucher, installation free, mountain channel/NFL ticket, free HD/DVR upgrades, HBO/Stars/Showtime, Bundle with QWEST, internet 14.99 high speed, phone 25.99 w/3 calling features), I was told there will be no surprise charges. Well my first direct tv bill was $83.06, my second bill was $78.06. What happened to $39.99? I called directv and was told that what I was sold doesn't start till the rebate is processed which takes 6-8 weeks, so I have to pay regular price until then and that's when my 24month promotion starts. 2) I was promised that directv does not charge for leasing the receivers like comcast. (Lie!!! They charge $5/per receiver a month) When I called directv, I was told they had the same complaint from a lot of other new customers. Wow!!! No wonder they have a high sales rate... They'll say anything to get a sale. And they must be pretty proud of it.
