I had a DVR R10 and was trying to remove content from my dvr to my laptop for viewing at a later time while traveling, or downloading it to my ipod. I was told by the customer service department that I would not be able to accomplish this with the present model of dvr, I was going to have to upgrade to the newer model (R15). I was told that I would have to pay for the upgraded receiver, or I could agree to a two year contract that allow me to receive the receiver for no charge.
When I installed the receiver and requested additional help to set up the dvr to record to pc, I was told that it was not an option available with the new receiver. I asked if I could sent the receiver back and remove the contract and I was told that the contract was binding (even though the product was misrepresented). This is not acceptable to me.
