I'm not surprised to actually have found this link by accident! Nor am I surprised to see the owner bring up allegations against the writers of these articles. How needed is that really? It's not their company in question, not these poor people.
ANYWAYS,
I worked as an artist for this company back in and though I made sure to get EVERY check they owed me, I would sit there and wait a week or two to get paid UNDER THE TABLE. It was unprofessional business. (Not to mention Louis Vicktor was awfully grabby to all the women that worked there.) Artists were hired one day and let go another day, never payed, hired on the spot - no questions asked. I was a VERY good employee and worked hard. I left the company when they changed their name and moved all the artists into a WAREHOUSE that had no air conditioner at the time. When asked to come back, I pretty much said "STFU" and got my check after one of their own Reps gave me contact to a REAL company that needed an Artist (which I'm still there, happily!)
Company WAS INDEED named "Students of America", located at 1920 Corporate Drive in Boynton Beach, FL. (I'm aware of this since my current boss had dwelt with Louis Vicktor) I have past documents saved for my portfolio to proof this company is one in the same.
Take note that these people may be angry, but they have never treated their "expendable" employees correctly, so I do not blame these poor salespeople. Whether they are good with the BBB or not... Multiple opinions stating the same thing over ONE person defending their company and insulting others is a little low IMO.
I apologize to anyone who has had to put up with this, and then RIDICULED. I expect the same for myself, but that is quite alright. They don't owe me anything, I just felt I'd give my two cents for those they DO owe. Even their Senior Artist complains about how terrible they are.
Good luck, but don't ever expect anything from these people!
