My name is Arthur Eschman. Bernard Haldane called me after finding my resume on the web. I said I was looking for a middle management position and they said they could help me find a position. They said I was lucky because they had an opening in Rolling Meadows with Ben Arcara within two days. Usually it would be at least two weeks before I could see anyone.
When I showed up, I filled out the questionnaire and was interviewed by Ben Arcara. He showed me many jobs available on his computer which he said were only available to them, and he assured me I would find a higher paying job because I was underpaid. He then set up another meeting with my wife and me about a week later. At this meeting my wife was skeptical, and he reassured her that I would get a higher paying job because I was underpaid and showed her the computer screen - saying that he had over a hundred jobs within 25 miles of our home for me. He also told her not to let me take a job that didn't pay their fee. He told us that they would have the new employer pay us for the whole amount, and that way we wouldn't have to pay taxes on it when they return it to us. This was even though we paid early and received a discount. He said this will pay the interest we had to pay. He also said I should have a job within four months; it would only take this long because of the holiday coming up. Of course this did not happen.
When I did have a possible job interview out of state and asked my career advisor how I would go about getting them to bill BH for their cost he said he had never heard of this. I told him Ben Arcara had told my wife and me to make sure I did this he said he would have to ask Ben and get back to me. When we talked again he said neither Ben nor him knew how to do this.
This is when I knew for sure I was being ripped-off, but I didn't know what to do about it, until I saw the piece on CBS News on May 6.in looking for more information on-line, it was then that I found this website.
I am placing this information on this website and in a few days will contact Ben Arcara to inform him that I want a FULL refund, if I do not get a FULL refund I will then take the following steps:
1) I have already contacted News and plan to work with them on a future investigation.
2) File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
3) File a complaint with the Illinois States Attorney.
4) Hire a Private attorney and file a civil lawsuit.
I will continue to post information related to my complaint until it is resolved.
