Now I understand why its an entry level job...

The most important thing that I learned from the day I spent "observing" this company was to not believe a word these guys say. Unfortunately I did not realize this during the primary interview the day before I spent hours investing time into this job. One of the main guys, Kirk L., made me feel lucky to be getting this opportunity since they rarely ask people who have yet to earn a college degree back for the second interview.

He was an incredible salesman, so good that I did not realize that he was dropping his pitch on me. Nevertheless, when I returned for the second part of the interview, I was waiting in line with five other KIDS, who, based soley on appearance, I would bet the house that they had just as much education as me. Then, one by one, we were called into an office where he told me that I would be spending the day with his "right hand man" (who was the "flares" guy who worked at Fridays in "Office Space") who would show me "the ropes" of the business. I piled into a car with him, a guy who couldn't read a road map and another guy who told "jokes" about guys commiting suicide (the three stooges) and we drove twenty minutes away from where my car was parked.

As we drove, the "Office Space" tick gave me his schpeal about how companies no longer care about college degrees because 90 percent of the population has one. He told me the company had 11,000 locations and I later called him on that and he downed it to 1100. He would try to punch numbers on me saying that 20 times 3 was around 115 or 130, it varied every time. Basically it came down to the fact that this guy had no idea what he was talking about and he would cover up his own stupidity by continuing to talk until you gave up trying to call him a moron.

Throughout the day, I soon learned that "the ropes" involved walking around a neighborhood for 11 hours a day, 6 days a week. On my day, it poured on me, I got blisters on my heels, and after 7 hours (I had someone pick me up early) of hell, I still hadn't earned a dime.

So I guess there are people who are made for these kinds of jobs. They are complete morons who enjoy scamming the hard working americans that they aren't. They like blisters, pneumonia, poor wages, and horrible hours. If these apply to you, then Destiny is up your alley. I'd rather work for a legitimate company.

-P.S., after 22 hours at a similar company, my friend earned only 45 big ones.
