Eagle Heating and Air of GA, a sub to American Shield came out to fix our air conditioning unit that had stopped blowing cool air. The technician looked at things, flipped a breaker switch, turning the unit back on and said we needed maintenance and oil in the air conditioner unit. He then left.
He must have thought because we are older, we are dumb. You do not/can not put oil in a sealed motor unit. We have a maintenance contract with a local company to check out our heating and air twice a year as the weather changes from summer to winter. So no maintenance was necessary.
We called a local vendor who was technically excellent and honest.By the time he got here, the unit was too hot to touch, definitely a fire hazard.
Calls to Eagle Heating and American Shield resulted in instructions to "lump it". Nothing they could or would do.
Am cancelling through Wells Fargo who sold this useless policy to me.
Am looking for anyone who wants to start a class action suit against American Home Shield. They must have learned from the antics of the credit care companies.
Email me at [email protected] if you want to pursue legal action.
