On the morning of 5/7/09 (Thursday), I ordered a bouquet of roses for my mother for Mother's Day (Sunday 5/10/09). The funds were IMMEDIATELY drawn from my debit card/checking account, and I received a confirmation that they would be delivered by Friday 5/8/09.
Needless to say, I received nothing on Friday. The consumer phone number provided was an automated, less than useless, waste of time. The UPS tracking info only said "Billing Information Sent". I waited all day Saturday, confident that I would receive the flowers by the end of the day. Of course, once again, I received nothing. The UPS tracking info was the same, and still is as of this writing (11:15 P.M. Sunday). That means that they made no attempt whatsoever to fulfill this order.
As far as I'm concerned, this constitutes FRAUD. These bastards knowingly took my money, after days of inundating my inbox with advertisements. (I still received one today, Sunday, Mother's Day claiming that it's still not too late for Mother's Day delivery!), yet they had no intentions of ever sending anything.
This left me with no means of acquiring another gift in time for Mother's Day.
My mother is in her late 70's, and I'm extremely pissed off at these lower than low, greedy, slime-bag, reprehensible, sub-human turds for ruining her day and mine. I want to see this rip-off company shut down. Their ads were splashed all over MSN's home page for weeks now, and I think that really sucks. Apparently, I have a lot of company in being scammed by these pukes. MSN should be a bit more selective in choosing their advertising sponsers. Let's all spread the word - 1-800-FLOWERS.com SUCKS! They are rip offs!
