American Van lines moved my brand new furiniture in October through one of their carriers VMAC Delivery (I just knew a month ago that they were a broker and that the name of the carrier that moved my furniture is VMAC Delivery), my furniture was extremely damaged. The furniture was delivered to a storage in Houston and was received by the office manager of the company that I work for and the people that delivered the furniture told her to sign that she only received the furniture, not that she received it in a good condition. I filed my original claim 135 days ago. 50 days ago, they told me that the claim form I submitted by email was not clear and I have to resend it again which I did by fax this time. I requested an inspection from American Van lines while the furniture was at the same location it was delivered but they told me that I do NOT need inspection if the pictures I took for my damaged furniture are at the location it was delivered. I have been leaving messages and sending emails to everyone in American Van lines with no response Finally I recived a fax from the carrier VMAC saying that my claim was denied as If a claim was to be made, a site evaluation/claim inspection must have been made at the same location as it was delivered. I replied to him saying that AVL informed me that the pictures that were taken at the delivery location are enough and no need for inspection. He still denied my claim. I have a copy of all the pictures, emails, and faxes. My damaged furniture worth about $6000 which I didn't get a penny for repairing them
