Internet Fraud;
I purchased a watch from Perpetual Diamonds in Melbourne Fl. After it arrived we were not satisfied with it and returned it via Fed Ex with a label furnished by Alex Jewelers in Atlanta Ga...
My credit card was charged to Takemi Select Wholesale Outlet of Melbourne, Fl. I later received an email stating my credit card had been reimbursed and the watch received by Perpetual Diamonds in Atlanta Ga. As I had not been credited with the refund I attempted to contact Perpetual Diamonds and found the telephone lines were blocked.
I was however able to contact Alex Jewelers through the telephone number on the Fed Ex shipping label. The gentlemen I spoke with "Adam" stated he would look into the matter...
My wife later received a call from them (Tammy, Mike, Adam??? Refused to identify themselves) describing all types of woes the company was going through including stating the company owner had a stroke.
They suggested we contact our credit card company to lodge a dispute as it was within a 60 day time period so we could get our money back from them...
I can only state this appears to be a large scale wire fraud operation involving a numbers of companies operating under different names across state lines. I would not be surprised to learn they are all owned by the same individuals.
We have contacted our credit card company and I will also be contacting the Postal Inspectors Service to advise them of this ongoing fraud...
