I am a disabled veteran with severe back and neck injuries. I bought a Bodywonder 8000 chair in March. While the chair looks impressive, the massage does not come close to more reputable brands costing a few hundred dollars more.in fact, the chair is BARELY better than a Homedics chair that costs 1/3 the price. The features on Takemi Select website are highly exaggerated.
To add insult to injury, the chair stopped working after 9 months of VERY LIGHT use. I contacted Takemi Select and Steve responded with an email stating that "75% of the time the problem is caused by the remote controller". I assumed that they would send a new controller, instead they told me that I had pay to ship the chair back to them at a cost of $460.
While the chair is covered by a "3 Year Rock Solid Warranty" the fact that they do not pay for shipping or on-site repair makes the warranty a moot point. The quality of the chair is mediocre at best, I do not believe that it is even worth the $460 shipping charge, especially after it cost me $900 nine-months earlier. Additionally, if this chair is going to fail every nine months, that would cost me over $1380 in shipping during the remainder of the warranty.
It seems that I will have to cut my losses and learn my lesson. Next time I will go to a REPUTABLE company and buy a REPUTABLE product.
