I bought my warranty or my service contract on July 25,2006. I was informed I got the best coverage available, which was the platinum. They told me it was going to cover all the car bumper to bumper. On March 12,2009, I took my car to the dealer service due to a problem with my sunroof motor, and a regular routine checkup.
At he dealer, they informed me that I need an oil pan reseal. My dealer service called the fist warranty, the guy who answered the phone was very rude and told my service dealer advisor the warranty doesn'y cover nothing. I called them myself, The guy who answered the phone was also very rude to me and told me the same along with that if I'm not satisfied with the matter to call my attorney.
I called my contract writers, national auto warranty service, and they called first warranty group to find out why the sunroof was not covered, and the guy gave him no answer while also being rude to him too.
In the meantime, when I received my warranty booklet, they sended me a contract with a brochure of the vehicle protection plan of all the parts covered under the platinum and deluxe plan, and my sunroof motor was covered under part # 0432. When I told my contracter about this, they told me that this was only a brochure and I should refer to the service agreement. I asked why would you send me a brochure naming all the parts that were covered, which included my sunroof motor and it turned out to be not true.
My conclusion, These companies are scams, ripoff people, the promise you the whole world and when you need them they tell you your warranty does't cover anything. Whatch out for first warranty group of florida, license # 60115 or national auto warranty inc. Their warranty contract writers
