How do I cancel my contract, when I have regular technical issues

Hello Everyone,

Here is what I am faced with, I installed the Dish from (Dish Network) on Feb 8th. The main intention was to watch the Cricket World cup 2003 in Feb-March Starting Feb 8th. This was on PPV and I had to pay 299.99 additional fee.

Here are a list of issues I had from day 1.

- I had two Receivers, The Sports PPV can be configured to view only on one
- After installation, the guy tells me that I will be able to watch the sports, including the Cricket only after 24/48 hours.
- The Picture in Picture in your TV will not work

The above are day 1 issues.

On a regular basis, I have Technical issues like Error 004,002, 015. The picture seems to be like downloading forever, the Local channels are disappearing at times etc.

I called the Customer Service folks few times, took tare of the issues. I go thru the website and find resolution and take care of the same and not call them at all.

I am to a point that I am frustrated as this is becoming frequent. I called saturday, spoke to the supervisor, Her name was CAREY, she was supposed to call me immediately, she did not, I was on hold for 30 min before another CSR answered the phone, I called again and wanted to reach CAREY, no one knew who it was.

I let them know what happened, they gave me a credit for $40.

Today I had the problem again, I had the issue first addressed by OLIVER, his ID - 6G9, then he transferred me to the Executive office, Here came the actual issue.

The person was real rude, they lacked any respect what soever, do not know how to speak.

I wanted out of the Contract and she denied it, I said, why do I want to be on the phone to resolve any technical issue every 3/6 days. When I pay you as a customer, I expect basic service barring external circumstances; Fortunately or unfortunately, she does not even understand the english language, I even told her not to talk when I am speaking as I was not done yet. I said she lacked self respect. She hung up the phone on me.

I had called again and had made sure that the notes did mention all that i wanted thru a CSR person 'KEVLIN'.
His boss 'Erin' transferred me to another person in the Executive office, as they are the ones who have to deal with this situation. I said I would rather talk to Erin than them.

She said her hands were tied, she cannot help me more on this; at least 'Erin' was polite. Erin let me know that she would make sure that the call would not get transferred to "WONUOLA".

The second person was worse than the first encounter.
Here it comes.

- Her name is VIPIN

- She does not want to listen to what I have to say
- I am explaing that every time I face an issue I spend time and i waste a lot of time on resolving this which shold not be my problem.
- She goes, am I wasting your time, then she hung up the phone on me.

If the Highest office people "Exec Office" folks hang up phones on the customers, what sort of service do you think the others can provide.

It is quite a shame that these people keep their JOBS even in this economy in spite of the down slide.

I was taking care of the issues my self and not calling them every time; and looks like now I have to and make sute i spend time and that will cost me more than the dish which they do not realize; was what I was trying to explain.

Can anyone give me an idea as to what do I do to break this contract. I do not want to pay any fee for breaking the contract etc.
