I just switched over phone companies. I've gone from Verizon, to Excel. Excel advertised free local and long distance services in the amount of 49.99 The My Line Complete package. What it doesn't say is that only certain areas are able to have Annoynmous Call Rejection (in which that is false advertising). This was the main reason why I ordered the My Line Complete b/c of the Annoynmous Call Rejection service and of course, the free long distance.
I've been calling Excel and have been put on hold several times trying to fix the situation. I've been told by one rep that yes the call rejection service is available and told by another rep that no it was not. Currently, I am paying for a service that isn't available in my area. I am not happy with Excel as the customer service lacks terribly and the reps are very unknowledgeable of the services that they actually offer.
Right now I have someone who lives 2 blocks from my home and can not even get through my home number, as she keeps receiving a message from excel that is not allowing her to get through. She tried *82 to by pass and it still didn't work. The service stinks, and everytime I call to repair, I keep getting put through to a voice mail stating, no one is available to take your call.
I advise anyone who is trying switch over to free long distance to look real real hard into what you are doing. Free long distance really catches a persons eye but there is so much more to it! A lot of hassles! Once Verizon has free local service, I will be switching back! Verizon has always provided me with excellent customer service in which I truly appreciate!
