I was on the road, making many calls on my "10 cents a minute" phone card, and half the time, when I was asked by the voice prompt to "Press 1 to make a calling card call", I would press "1" and I would not advance. I would wait, the options would be repeated, yet pressing "1" still yielding nothing. Soon, a human voice would come on saying "What number are you calling and what is your calling card number?" I would tell him/her, and then talk - all the while thinking I would be billed 10 cents a minute.
NO! Sprint considers this unintentional use of an operator a station-to-station call and slaps on a $5.50 surcharge for every call! And inflates the per/minute cost!
I would NEVER have intentionally chosen an operator, and CERTAINLY not had I been warned about the charge!!!
