To all those who have been scamed.
They are scaming many people within the USA and Canada. As I am a Canadian Citizen.
This is how it works: First you pay a sum of money (149.95) to purchase the card, and then they send you a card in the mail.
At this moment they start charging your bank account for a sum of 19.95 USD for; Towing Coverage, Perscription Coverage, and a Credit Manager Report for a total of 19.95USD.
IF you cancel these coverages, you will not have to pay anything. I don't know if they report to a credit agency or not.
On the weekend I canceled all the coverages and kept my card. I later went on the www.usacreditsuperstore.com to see what I could buy. I noticed that when you decide on something (twice as expensive) and checked out.
You have to pay a down deposit (half), this amount is equal or more than the product would cost you in any other store. They charge the other half to your USAPlatinum Card. They don't charge you any interest because they have already made their money on your deposit. The remainder is charged to your card and if you don't pay they take the money from your bank account.
This is how to contact them as follows:
Their Address:
USA Credit
One Millennium Drive
Uniontown, PA 15401
Phone Number: (800) 262-4192
Fax Number: (724) 430-2165
E-Mail Address: [email protected]
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday
From 9:00 A.M. To 5:00 P.M.
Eastern Standard Time
Also if your having a hard time with your bank ask to stop payment to that paticular company and they should mail you a form to fill out. This stops this company withdrawling any monies from you accounts. If you just put a stop payment on for 19.95 they will try a different amount of monies.
Good luck
You you could call them and say that someone applied in your name and they will reinbruse you for any problems. I did this also and got all my money back, just don't tell them you applied for the card.
