New ebay feedback policies allow easy removal of competition.

EBAY agrees & confirms that a buyer who left me negative feedback has lied by saying I promissed overnight shipping, ebay also confirmed the buyer lied by stating they have tried to contact me prior to leaving negative feedback, ebay also confirmed the buyer has a history of 20% negative feedback being left for sellers, as well ebay has confirmed the buyers contact information is invalid. Jeesh, what do you think would happen to a seller with 80% positive feedback and invalid contact information???

So what measures does ebay take?
They inform me I am required to use my profit of 68 cents* to obtain a court order for libel half way across the country, then simply mail a certified copy of the judges ruling finding me a victim of libel to ebay via certified mail and allow several weeks for processing in order to remove this negative feedback.

* (Understand the item sold for $5, shipping with delivery confirmation was $1.50, my product purchase price $1.5, ebay listing price $. 35, ebay final selling fee $. 60, & paypal fee $. 37)

I am shocked they will allow me to purchase an attorney outside of ebay! How are they going to make any money???

Original Message to Ebay after a couple phone calls:

To Whom It May Concern,
I am requesting removal of negative feedback for the following reasons:
1. The buyer left me negative feedback on "DIDN'T SHIP OVERNIGHT AS PROMISED"
2. The buyer received the item in 3 business days, according to my ad there is no promise of delivery time, and as you can see there is no communication between me or the buyer prior to and/or after the purchase in any form.
3. The buyer also never attempted to contact me prior to leaving negative
feedback.
4. The buyer has INVALID contact information, when attempting resolve
myself, the buyers phone it is disconnected, when trying to email
direct its returned, and my emails through ebay I've received no reply.
5. The buyer has a history of leaving negative feedback, 20% of their feedback towards sellers has been NEGATIVE!!!

Further details: No promise with shipping was made for shipping other than my listing stating free shipping, Standard Flat Rate Shipping Service, and
handling time of usually one business day. I mailed their item Friday
Evening - Being postmarked Saturday, Monday being a holiday.
This gives Sat, Tue, Delivered Wed. Although the USPS
doesn't guarantee shipping within 2-3 business days, this was delivered
in 3 Business days.

I am requesting this negative feedback to be removed as you can see this is completely inaccurate.

P.S. As you can see from my other feedback my shipping time as with everything else is stellar.

We provide the feedback system and discussion boards so members can speak their mind freely without worrying about being censored. But we can only do that if members are solely responsible for their comments.

Even if a member leaves feedback that is unfair, untruthful, or harmful to a member's reputation, we can't remove it without a court order describing it as libel, defamation, or saying that the comment is
illegal.

Fortunately, you're judged by your entire history of feedback, not just one comment. We encourage you to leave a professional reply to this member's comment that will be visible to the entire eBay community. Generally, a calm, balanced comment will carry more weight than one that seems negative or unfair.

how long until ebay realizes that rather than selling goods at a competitive price, other sellers are now just going to hire a couple buyers to purchase their competetors items, leave neg feedback and wham, less competition!!!

Althought I have 500 and only 1 Neg feedback, I also realize that poor feedback will get you suspended, I was completely fine with this, that is until the above happened last week, now I realize my feedback score is out of my control (and I just happen to be a control freak). Ebays response forces me to move everything I have to AMAZON, I am not sure how much control I will have at Amazon, but at least I feel in control of moving my items there!

That is unless you know of a good attorney that will take my case for 68 cents.

But how do I sue someone that doesn't have contact information? I don't want to sue them anyway! I want to sue EBAY! Is this what happens to companies when they monopolize and get too big? I just paid them $600.00 for listing fees, and I get the absolute worst customer service people I have ever heard, and their canned response letters are not much better, I would retire if I had a dollar for every time I heard "SIR" "SIR" "SIR" "sorry" "nothing we can do" "thats our policy" instead of a human being thats appreciative to have a job and likes the business I bring.

Perhaps this is part of a secret EBAY strategy to decrease expenses through workload. That 80% of EBAYS work is created BY 20% of sellers, effective immediately push out anyone who makes, attempts to make, or even might possibly in the future make a wave that may escalate into any one of our employees having to actually think and/or work.
