As a seller on Etsy I find that one of the hardest part of selling is trying to make all customers satisfied with their purchase.

One problem with the feedback system on Etsy is that buyers can leave negative feedback, but as a seller negative feedback from the sellers point of view is not made available to the public.
Once a buyer is aware that only their feedback remarks are visible sellers are at the mercy of the buyer. Buyer are less willing to try and work out a compromise when given negative feedback is not visible so that a seller may be aware you may be working with a hard to please customer.

Esty sites legal reason, yet Ebay has had this open policy for 17 years and they system works to both buyer and sellers advantage. Seller and buyers seem to work harder at resolving issues rather then both getting negative feedback.

Yes customer satisfaction is what we strive for, but there are those that no matter what a seller does there is no pleasing them.
Although many seller have requested Etsy to revisit this policy they do not listen to the people who like Ebay has made them who they are. Sellers are hard workers and not only do we work hard, our feedback can be very harmful if abused by buyers who know they will never have to answer for their posting.
