Verizon imposes megabyte usage charge of 1.99 monthly when button is accidentally pressed. IF you disable service, you cannot use your picture texting... Although you pay for it with your unlimited texting

Since we added 3 phones to our service in July I noticed that our phones were being charged 1.99 monthly for "megabyte usage". I finally got around to asking what this was for & the lady explained it was for "Get it Now" & "Mobile Web". I explained to her that we don't use those services & if she were to look up the usage... She would see where the buttons were accidentally pushed. She said that there was no way for her to see that information.

I then told her that we should not be charged because our phones & buttons are very sensitive & it is easily triggered. If triggered it starts logging into it & once you see what's happening... You immediately press end. She said this was common (esp. Clients with cell phone buttons being triggered in their back pockets) & she hoped things would soon change. However, to disable the megabyte usage you would lose your picture texting feature ALTHOUGH you pay for it along with the unlimited texting bill. She credited the fees back for this month only, but wouldn't be able to do anything about the others OR FUTURE errors. Of course, I'm stuck with the 2 year contract & 1.99 charge on EACH phone everytime the button is triggered.
