Basically, Dr Bold's wife serves as his front office staff and she is a high pressure, unrelenting sales person. She does not take no for an answer and will harrass you until you are broken down and give in to her. I had an exam and wanted to order contacts, but not use my VSP benefit for glasses or buy my glasses there. I wanted to go to Costco and avoid a needless mark up on frames. Of course I did not give her this reason. I had to tell her no, and explain at length why I did not want to get my glasses there, three times. She essentially portrayed me as a fool in front of the other patients, so I caved into the pressure. She did not itemize my pricing before she submitted my order and processed my credit card. When I saw the $600 bill, I left quietly, thinking I will call back and simply cancel and pay only for services rendered that day. I had already been there for 2 hours! When I called back requesting the refund, she lied and said that it was too late to cancel. The order was sent and being processed. This was a Sunday and the lab was closed. After an hour of back and forth phone calls, she relented and said she'd not charge me for the frame if they could still make the glasses. I said I don't even want to ever come back here, even for a free frame. She wouldn't even let me leave without the free frame, because she was going to submit my insurance and still get paid for it, and more than what it was worth. They paid $40 cost, and will be reimbursed $130. I was crying in their office begging to be free of anymore obligations to see them again. She did not back down. It was perhaps the most horrible retail experience I have ever had. There are many bad reviews out there on Yahoo! Yellow pages and they are all consistent with my report here. Check for yourself. But more importantly, do not give them your business.
