I agree with what Carolina said in their report. The only difference is is that I was told not to tell the DOT Official about running both logs by MANAGEMENT in CR ENGLAND, which I knew was wrong and ILLEGAL. Yes they have been pressuring me also to do the very same thing. Now I'm not one to (rock-the-boat) so to speak. However, in this instance, England has not left me an alternative choice. Asking employees to break DOT RULES and REGULATIONS is both unprofessional and unethically wrong. Not to mention COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. Also continually having to fax and personally bring in continually missing logs to them in their logs department for the same days over and over due to their incompitence in said department is FRUSTRATING to say the least.
While inside the logs dept. One afternoon for the seventh time, I had personally (along with a few of my fellow drivers whom were standing there also) witnessed one of their logs personel checking logs of a driver. During this, (she: the logs keeper in England) was conversing with another female in the department in a lively conversation and NOT looking at her computer screen. She then turns toward her screen after scrolling through it while talking and not looking at it, and says: "Hmph! Another stupid driver who didn't scan their logs!" She then proceeded to mark them as MISSING. I had been paying attention how many days she had scrolled through while talking to the other person and she had violated the driver for four consecutive days that she had missed by not paying attention to her job. Then still others in that very department are standing around leaning un the filing cabinet with their arm propped up on it talking for hopus on end then sit down and try to catch up on reviewing logs by zipping through them.
It is a fact that they have no supervision nor willingness to do their jobs correctly. Half way doing their jobs seems to be their forte and rule of thumb. If you are a driver for this FLY-BY-NIGHT COMPANY; NEVER and I mean NEVER throw your logs away. If you do, it will come back to haunt you and ruin your reputation. I have been keeping my logs from the day I started with these people and it still has been a hassle with missing logs, speeding, and other various violations. It honestly feels like they want to trap you into staying with them. If you don't stay right on top of them you will be trapped in their clutches and not be able to escape unless you don't plan on ever driving a truck again.
I myself plan on showing DOT all my logs fore the past year and all my violations that the crackpots are saying I have and letting them see for themselves what the company is doing and hiding. I also believe the FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION and the U.S. DEPARTMENT of TRANSPORTATION would be VERY interested in investigating these folks. If ENGLAND wants to play dirty with us the drivers then I say lets play dirty right back.
I know as a collective body we have enough evidence for the U.S. And FEDERAL to step in and put them (C.R. ENGLAND) back on an HONEST and FAIR TRACK. If not then it's time to do the very thing that Uncle Sam doesn't want the collective body of drivers across the U.S. To do... Form a union of drivers. Ie. Transportation union of american truckers.
