Everyone beware. Mr. Kenny Dawkins was hired to remodel my bathroom about 1year ago and was paid in full before he was finished (My husbands' mistake). We ran out of marble tile and wasn't able to get another box because of financial hardships.
I called Mr. Dawkins one day months later to fix a plumbing problem in a different bathroom. Mr. Dawkins was aware that my husband and I were having some marital problems, then he started making advances toward me. My husband was moved out then and I was home with 4 kids on my own and Mr. Dawkins tried to sweet talk his way in to my life and home. I had no interest in him because he is very old and I'm young enough to be his daughter. However I did not turn down his breakfast offers, and treats for my kids.
I then found out some disturbing info. About him. He's on probation, in and out of jail all through his life. He drives without a drivers license in which he's not suppose to. He hangs around crack addicts and has had dealings with prostitutes. He has a case that he was freed of that has to do with theft in someones home. There were also stories around that he checks women out when he goes to do a job in a home, and brags about sexual encounters with these women.
He started talking of love very soon and was not making sense for someone of his age. I wasn't even showing interest in him other than using him. I came to the conclusion that this man does not have nothing, will never have nothing, and was trying to take advantage of my situation to give himself a better place to live. I kindly told him I was not interested in him in any kind of way and went out and brought another box of tile so that he could finish the bathroom. I didn't want to deal with him anymore, and I noticed he did not want to feel rushed because he didn't want to do it anymore. He knew I didn't like him and wanted to get back with my husband so I had to *threaten* to go to his probation officer to get him to put up the rest of the tile. But he refused to do the necessary painting and other things that were discussed.
We had no contract with him, another mistake on our part. Remind you we had already paid him in full.
When this man doesn't get what he wants he screws you over. My husband learned his lesson about trusting people in his home around his wife, and paying for a job before it is done. My husband is home now because he refuses to leave his family in a situation where we would be subject to a person like Handyman Dawkins. My husband trusted him to come and do a job, not to have his eye on me. Men and Women beware, young and old.
