Charges For Their Own Innefficiency Company received payment then disconneced and charged $30 for reconnection

Although it takes Steinmetz to figure out all their monthly charges, which, with all their small additional charges, is miles above the plans they quote you when you get their service, their own lousy bookkeeping cost you as it did to us. We paid a bill of $134.00 and left town for a few days on business. When we returned, 10 days after we had paid their bill, we discovered our phone service had been disconnected THAT DAY. As evidently one of their offices receives payment, and another is responsible for the service, their lack of communication got our phone disconnectement fully 10 days after we had sent in payment. They refused to accept our word that we had sent in payment and instead we had to pay an additional $96.00 to restore service, but were told that the $96.00 would be then credited to our next bill once the check was credited to our account. That eventually did happen, but then, on the next bill we were charged a $30.00 "Reconnect" charge.
These people are pigs. They are inefficient, and they they charge their customers for their own ineptitude. That sucks. We were paying over $130.00 a month for their Internet Service that fails constantly here in Miami, and their phone line, but no more. I'll find another carrier that doesn't rip us off and has customer care people who are not rude and abrupt like the woman who I spoke to who did nothing to fix the problem. AT&T sucks!!!
