Customer no service. We odered charter last week was told we would recieve 2 hd dvr w/hdmi hookup and told that we would be installed on friday morning 12-5-08. The yech showed up at 9 am but he had the wrong boxes for us. I asked charter about this and he had the wrong cable boxes he was directed bye charter to return and pick up at least one of the hddvr boxes he stated he would return before 12 noon.
When he didnt return i called his cell he then told me that the whse had no boxes so there was no need for him to come back to finish my home. I called sevral different times spoke to people in canada. Mass, texas. And washington state. They all stated nothing they can do. Finnaly i reached a man in mass named jeff. He indicated he was a supervisor he did help a little bit but after about 12 more calls bye me a man showed up at my house at 5:50 pm to install two hd dvr boxes so we thought.
Well was we wrong the box in the master bedroom was not a dvr at all. When we called customer service to tell them the dvr was not working they luaghed at my wife and said that the box was not even a dvr. At the same time she told us that we already had a appt on monday from 8 to 5 to replace the boxes i called again on sunday to confirm that i did have a appt on monday and was told yes i do on monday. I took another day off from work to await the arrival of my new box. My wife called 3 time on monday and was told that someone would be there before 5 pm. At 4:45 i called charter and was told that they showed no appt for us but a special request that had no day or delivery time. The lady told me that there was no way she could tell me whne it would be here or what day it would arrive. So after taking my second day off work and loosing another days worth of pay i still do not have my proper equipment.
I called your corprate office to complain a nice lady said she would help but she emailed and called our local dispatch and recieved no reply as well. So i have been a charter cusomer for 4 days and i have lost 2 full days worth of work for nothing. Lets do the math here 16 working hours at 17.85 a hour equals 285.00 dollars and am looking at a 3rd day off waiting for a box. Thanks charter thats is real customer serice.
