I have my child in this daycare for about four months. I checked the place out and though that the place was clean. Decent, not high society, but good enough for a daycare center.
At first, the workers and owner were very nice. Then came the sickness and ear infections to my child of about 18 months. My child refused to naps. My child face smelled funny one day.
Come to find out... The blanket that my child came in with on day one was given to another child because his mother forgot to bring one. The reason for refusing naps. I only found out because I acquired my child things back. And found it missing. To call the cops on a daycare because they allowed someone to steal from a baby.
The sickness is because every time a child would sneeze, a worker would blow the child nose and not wash their hands. My child was sick about six times in four monthes. Being that she was so young, the mucus would drsain into ear and cause infection. I think my child had about four ear infections.
The face smelly funny - A worker would wipe a table and then wipe a child with the same wash cloth. The other part of why the sickness was always there. We requested for the workers to use baby wipes on our child face but no listened.
A specialist came to the daycare to check out their cleaning policy with the children and surfaces. She said the every thing was done by the book. The book the policy was done by the book (her check book).
This daycare caters to low-income families and the children that they have. Most pay discounted amount to watch the darlings while they work. Many of these don't care or don't know about these conditions.
I think that it's OK use daycare but please, please be careful of the daycare you use. The owner is very rude and ignores the rules when it comes to children. Thinks to this lovely scene, the only one to watch my child is my husband, myself, and maybe grandma.
Now I have a health child thanks to at home and at all poosible costs away from anyone with germs.
