My guitar, autographed by Les Paul to me by name, was taken and pawned to Jumping Jack Cash on 4500 South in Utah. When the situation came to light, I raced to the pawn shop to see if it was there—I was willing to by it back on the spot, despite it being stolen. All I want was my guitar back. The manager informed me it was already sold on Ebay.
I contacted the police officer handling my case, and he said he would contact Ebay Fraud Department. Management refused to give me any buyer information (I can actually understand this). After I contacted the pawn shop—for the third time-I just started searching the net, to get my beloved guitar back. Imagine my surprise when TWO DAYS LATER my guitar was listed for sale from Jumping Jack Cash's ebay store.
The serial number was listed 1 number off and there was no mention of the autograph in the description (although clearly visible in the pictures). On the ebay listing, it said the guitar would be available for pick up at the 4500 south location! I went straight to the store to get my guitar and was told "Good luck, hope you get the highest bid." I just called the police.
I'm sitting in my car right now waiting for them, typing this. I want everyone to know how dishonest and shady this "business" is. Stay away from them. Tell your friends. I will update on the outcome.
