April - I Signed up for the Verizon Triple Freedom package. There was a promotional insentive of a $300 Digital Camera or a $200 gift certificate to big box electronics store. I was told I would receive a letter in the mail with a coupon to redeem in about a month.
June - Nothing arrived so I called Verizon. They were very empathetic and said there was a big back log for the promotion. I assumed that to be correct because there are several 800 numbers assigned to handle nothing but various promotions. The tech I talked to said it can take up to 90 days to receive something.
September - Still nothing I called again and got the same lip service that it would be arriving and there is a huge backlog.
November - Still nothing. Called Verizon again they now tell me that it is to late and that I should have called earlier. I explained that I had called twice before but they showed no record of it. They said there was nothing they could do for me.
Bottom line here is when your promotion dosen't arrive take the name and supervisors name of everybody you talk to. I know it is a pain in the ass but there is little else you can do.
