Complaint / Review
Master Valet Parking
Lack of professionalism

I'm preparation for an event; I contacted Master Valet to perform valet services. I usually have a colleague make such preparations, but this time I had to do them myself. Master Valet provided a quote, which seemed extremely reasonable comparatively speaking.

When I followed up, they had no idea what they quoted me or when the event was that they quoted me for. When I followed up, the company had no idea the date or the amount they quoted me for. After realizing the event was the next day, the contact said they might not be able to do it due to a 48-hr window to get approvals from the underwriters.

I understood, so I started looking for my Plan B. At 4pm, I hadn't heard back from the company, so I sent an e-mail letting them know that since I hadn't heard anything it must not have been a go, so I'd contact them in the future.

The contact, Silky Musmanno, Coordinating & Transactions Supervisor, sent me the rudest e-mail!

Subject: RE: Your custom quote

Left you a voice-mail at 832-4xx-0xxx, and sent you a response that it could have happened should you have answered me before 4 P.M., and you never responded. The rules of the "game, " for lack of a better term, are stipulated in BOLD BLACK letters on the 4th paragraph of the quote. I spent way too much time for free on this. %

I then received a message saying to not contact them again. SERIOUSLY?

As I was taken off guard, I attempted to contact the company to discuss with a supervisor. I was told no one was available to discuss. I asked for the person I was in touch with, and was told that she had LEFT FOR THE DAY. I had a co-worker call because I wanted to at least get the name of a person to contact to complain. He was placed on hold and the young lady who was "gone for the day" came to the phone.in shock, I hung up. I was expecting to speak to another person and get a different perspective.

At this point, I thought it best to just contact the Better Business Bureau as I realized I was dealing with some "interesting characters" to say the least.

In response to my complaint, I received the following e-mail:

Ms. L;

I specifically asked you to cease communications with our offices yesterday, yet immediately after you called our office and then had a man do so as well, and when I got on the line he hung up. This is called harassment. Now you place a complaint with the BBB (which will not appear for the public to see b/c you are not a customer as the BBB put it to us). No services or money have exchanged hands, therefore you are NOT our customer so customer service is a moot point, and we are allowed to reserve the right to refuse services to you, this is not Russia. Your continuous contacts are borderline harassment and we have plenty of calls on the caller I.D. Along with emails to substantiate the harassment. We do not wish to spend any more time on something or someone who is not a customer, so please do move on.

Silky Musmanno

The sad thing is that she could just talk to me as a civil human being, but she wanted to pretend to not be available when I called. Then she wanted to turn the script and make it seem like I'm the person in the wrong.

I just feel the need to share such a ridiculous story with others in an effort to inform consumers of their ridiculous practices.

I will NEVER contact this company to use ANY type of service and hope and pray they always have competitors that are more professional!
