1) I purchased a 400 text messages plan for a childs phone, not wanting unlimited. Of course she went over, by 1000. At. 15 each = $150.00.
If I wanted her to have unlimited I would have bought the plan. I believe the plan should have cut off at 400. But T mobile KNOWS children will go over and thats just fine with them.
2) 5 months after I signed a new 2 year contract I upgraded my minutes and was not told it would extend my contract to another 2 years.
3) 12 months after signing the same contract I upgraded my phone, again I was not told my contract was extented 2 years. (for just buying a phone?)
4) After 20 months of said contract I got laid off. Money got real tight. I called to see when contract would be overwith, and was THEN told about the extentions of my contract. I know I was not informed when I upped the minutes or upgraded the phone, because I would not have done it if I had been advised of it. I was fuming. I was told be the corperate office to take it up with the store. While standing in line I over heard a manager talking to a customer about upgrading her phone. After they got done talking I stopped the customer and ask if she had been informed that a phone upgrade would extend her contract by 2 years, she replied "NO!", and was glad "I" informed her and would not upgrade her phone if it meant a 2 year extention.
I replied it was the reason I was in the store that day, because I was not informed.
When I finally got up to the manager, before I could say anything to him he gets up and walks off as if he had something else to do. And told another clerk to help me. When I told my complaint to the clerk, his only reply was to go home look on the back of my paper work of when I bought the new phone and if I "SIGNED"..."oh well".
I had been T mobile customer for 5 YEARS, I had run into a bit of hard times, and there was no way they were going to let me out of my extented contract, (even thou they never tell you about the extention). NOT without paying the $150.00 monthly charge that WAS due at the time, the $150.00 from my childs overtexting charge ($5.00 if I'd had unlimited texting) $200.00 disconnect per phone (X 4 = $800.00) for a total of $1500.00 to turn off the phones at that time.
I waited out the contract. Still have a $783.00 balance.
I WILL NEVER EVER use T MOBILE the RIPOFFs again.
I advise you to stay away from them also, if they can, they will rip you off.
These are not the only complaints I have, they are the only ones I have time enough to write about. I hope they go belly up. So avoid them like the plague.
