Redwood Empire
Bad service

I received a call two days ago to listen to a presentation on air quality / purifier systems. I had the choice to receive a digital camera, $100 gas card, a set of knives, or a vacation package anywhere in the U.S. Just to listen to the presentation; itwould be only a few minutes and they would have a survey for me to answer.

When the sales rep came to my home, I informed her my time was limited and that I would need to leave by a certain time. Although she showed me the products (a vacuum and an air purifier) she could not back the products with facts such as EPA information or specific differences between their brand or competitors'. When I told her I was not interested at this time, she said they could arrange easy payments, then she asked me what my credit score was! I told her it was none of her business. When I said I might be interested in the future and asked for a business card or printed materials, she did not have any. She did not offer a follow-up visit or phone call, or even a phone number. She packed up her stuff and said good bye. When I asked about my promised gift, she said she was not scheduled to come to my house, but that someone else was, and she did not have the gift. She said they would mail the gift. I told her I was told it would be brought at the time of the appointment. She then said that I did not finish the "show" so therefore did not qualify for the gift. When she left I called the number from my caller I.D. And spoke with a man who would not identify himself. He said I did not finish the "show". I said I was told the presentation would only take a little while. He said 45 minutes was way too short a time for any good salesperson to present all the material and that they would be liars if they promised me an exact time. He turned it around to place the blame on me and had no intention of following through. There are numerous complaints about this company, many of whom refer to Redwood Empire as scammers, dishonest, and rude salespeople. I feel for the people who actually spent $2800 on their vacuums. Beware. They want more than just your $ for a vacuum. They want your identity, credit cards, whatever they can get.
