Vacation Network - Vni
"Free" incentives to listen to SCAM! Beware!

We went to a presentation of Vacation Network (6770 North Sunrise Blvd, Suite G-270, Glendale, AZ 85305) in the Gateway Pavilions Plaza the day before Thanksgiving 2008. We watched a video and the presenter tried to loosen up the atmosphere, get people laughing and joking. But we all knew why we were there, the free gift right? Joke on us!

Sent in the voucher for my 'free' airline ticket ($50 registration fee per ticket). We went with the airlines because it had the least registration fee of each 'gift' offered. Received a second voucher to fill out. I followed their instructions exactly and then received a letter back stating my voucher was void because I did not send it certified mail. No where did it say I needed to send it certified mail. I called customer service but the woman I spoke with told me they are not VNI, the gifts are just fulfilled through them and they have to follow procedure. They couldn't explain to me where it said I needed to send my voucher certified mail.

I sent in my first gas voucher (must be $20 exactly, only one a month submitted, and within afew days of purchase). We'll see if I ever see the $20. I sent it almost two months ago.

I get INVITED to attend the presentation almost monthly from someone who doesn't speak english very well and is difficult to understand. I decided, after yet another invitation today to see the Vacation Network presentation, to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau about their dishonest and misleading practices. As I took the time to write a complaint, I realized I couldn't without an address.

After logging off the internet, I received another call (30 minutes later) from the same lady, Victoria at Vacation Network. (Showed up on caller ID from Beverly Hill CA 310-598-7260). I thought she was calling to address my complaint that I gave her 30 minutes before when she called the first time. She called to invite me to the presentation. She did not even realize that we had just spoken on the phone a short time before. So, before I did anything else, I asked for her address in Glendale. I got it! I posted it in the beginning.

I don't think dishonest companies that misrepresent themselves should be able to operate business in our state.
