Took my money, did nothing for it, and refused to give it back, RIPOFF!

When you pay a company to do something, that company takes your money and leads you to think he/she will do his/her best for you, you do expect that company/those people to do their job. Services rendered for money paid. Right? Most of the time!

I was recently terminated by Conway Truckload of Joplin, Mo for 1 minor and 1 very minor parking lot accidents in a very short time. I will tell this story under a separate heading. I was not surprised when they terminated me. But what has happened since then is the kind of thing that makes you know there are real problems in the trucking industry.
"Unsatisfactory safety record", this was going to be put on my Dac report Conway told me. I had no idea at the time how difficult this was going to make my life. But, I did know that I needed help to deal with it. Or at least I thought I really did.

I did an internet search about dac reports, looking for someone who might be able to help me with my problem. I came across www.dacfix.com. The information on their website seemed to be just what I needed and was looking for. Wow! I thought. Who is better capable of helping me with a Dac problem than former Dac employees! They should know what to do and how to do it, quickly. On Sept 3/08, I called Dacfix, talked with Victor Zimmerman who lead me to think yep, this is the thing to do. I paid him the $149.By credit card he was asking to get him started on my situation. I also faxed to him the info he needed to pull my Dac report. A couple of weeks I was told it would take to get it and get going with it. Well, I waited the couple of weeks. Getting anxious, I called Dacfix. It took several tries to get someone on the phone. When I did, the person answering said they did not yet have my Dac report, they were waiting for the mail to run. A couple of days later, I called back again. Still no Dac report in hand. Knowing they can't help me 'til they get the Dac report in hand, I try to be patient. The lady tells me looks like it will be the 29th of Sept before it arrives and work can begin. That is 3.5 weeks after I recruited Dacfix to help me. Ok. The 29th of Sept arrives. I hear absolutely nothing from Dacfix that day. I call them, no answer, I leave messages, all that week I cannot get them on the phone, they do not call me.By now, I decide I'd better get my own Dac report, these people are taking too long. Wed, Oct 1, I send for my own Dac report by mail. Mon, Oct 6th,4 and a half weeks after paying Dacfix to help me and getting nothing so far, I write Dacfix a message and email it to them. Here is my email to Dacfix:

Mr Zimmerman:

I came to you expecting/hoping to get help with my situation. The information on your website sounds just like what I am needing to help resolve my situation. However, as time passes, my hopes of getting this help are diminishing. Needless to say, I am becoming very disappointed. I am having trouble believing that after 5 weeks you still do not have my Dac report. I understand that you cannot do anything until you DO receive that report. If you really have NOTreceived it yet, that is justification, of course, for not proceeding. You were expecting to receive it 9/29. Today is a week later. When did you send for it? I came to you 9/3 with payment of $149. For help. I need that help. But, I am not going to wait forever with $149 paid and getting nothing in return for it. I have separately mailed for a copy of my Dac report myself. If I receive this and still have not heard from you folks, I will be asking for my money back.By then, I will be thoroughly convinced I am getting no help from your office. I will also speak my piece to the BBB.

Since you are obviously working in a niche market, seems to me you would want to keep your negatives down and your positives up. I do hope that report shows up soon, I need the help, you want the money.

After sending this email to Dacfix, I was hoping they would respond, do their job, I would get what I was needing, help. Wrong! Not a word from them. Sat 10/11 I received my own copy of my Dac report, just 10 days after mailing for it! As of this writing, more than 6 weeks have passed since paying Dacfix $149 to help me with my Dac report. They have taken my money, done nothing for it, never did pull my Dac report, much less do anything to help me with it, have not communicated with me concerning anything, and finally, after I leave a message with them to return my money, they have not returned my money nor said anything at all!
If you are like I was, needing help with your Dac report, I would suggest that when you see
www.dacfix.com and how good it sounds, that you just keep on looking! These people did not
help me. Just took my money and RIPOFF!
While I am out of work too!
