FOLEYS/MAY COMPANY INSULTS HOSTIULE REMARKS the business that doesn't give a damn about their customer Littleton

I went to return a polo sweater that was current, new, and unworn. The foleys tag was on the garment, in the foleys box, and wrapped by the foleys gift wrapping department.

Being fully aware of the exchange / return policy of last sale price = store merchandise only, which i had no problem with having worked at and shopped at may stores for a long time, i picked out other merchandise that exceeded the value of the polo sweater.

(the sweater was retailing at 145.00) i then went up to the sales associate who was cool and started to process the transaction.

After giving my id and what seemed like the deed to my house, my first born, etc. The sales associate stopped the transaction when the price of 145.00 came up on the register, went to another sales associate talked and pointed at me, came back and said i needed to talk to her. I said no problem since he was new and holiday help.

I went and talked with the new sales associate who was a "department specialist" and who told me that the sweater was old, and that she would give me 41.99.

I then questioned the price and was told " you probaly switched price tags, since this sweater was really old and out of style" the sweater was giving to me by my grandmother christmas 2002 and i had also seen the same sweater at dillards and macys for the same price in the current season.

I then asked for a manager which " could not be paged" i left with the voucher for 41.99 with intention of returing to speak with the manager after calming down. I returned on a later date to speak first with the department manager, who immeadently took the side of his specialist.

I at this point asked for the number to the divisional office of foleys and was giving the 1-800# for credit. I then asked for the may copr. Home number and was told it would not be given to me.

I again left pissed off and got home and called the store manager who did apolige and i had informed him that we can produce a cancelled check varifing the amount for the situation but offered no remedy.

I called the copr. Home office and to this date have not received a response.

I feel that foleys and all may stores need to look at there policys, remove the "were here to help signs'"from the manager as you walk into the store, and take down the " no sale is ever final" signs as well, for as far as myself and my family this was the final sale.
