Direct TV illegally and fraudulently took funds from my account without my written, verbal or implied permission.
Obviousley, I am not the only person that Direct TV ripped off. I paid a Direct TV bill for my Daughter-in-law and stated that I was only authorizing that one payment. Whe the my Daughter-in-law cancelled the service and returned the equipment they took $736.06 out of my account. We have copies bills and of payments that were made, no where since she had the service with Direct TV (and that was over 2 years) did she ever have a bill in that amount of money. I have been back and forth with Direct TV with no success and may bank can't seem to help. The best part of this is I live in Pa and Daughter-in-law lives in NJ., two different states, so you see I could not be living with my Daughter-in-law.
Direct TV justifies taking the money because they told me it was on the back of their bills. I contend that since I never had an account and did not agree to their terms and conditions they had no right taking my money.
I am not done fighting and will take my case to any Government Agency that I can, I am filing complaints with the Attorney General of both NJ and Pa, US Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission. I am going to inquire how I go about with a Class Action suit.in the end I hope Direct TV has their license to operate pulled at least in NJ and Pa.
