Sunshine Readers Inc. Started double charging my credit card a year ago. After a few months once I found out what was going on, I tried calling and cancelling my subscription. They refused to let me.
I submitted a report with the FTC and Better Business Bureau to no avail. Even my bank said they couldnt do anything about the charges. I changed my credit card number and the payments stopped.
I received a call about 6 months later saying that I had 6 hours to negotiate a payment for the months they didnt get a payment for (or double payments for i should say) and threaten to send my account to collections if I didn't come up with a solution.
They offered to settle for less (not a lot less) and threatened me with "recorded phone calls" to use against me in court. When I called in the past and refused to pay and tried to cancel my account in the past, they told me they had no record of my phone calls.
I really need help fighting this and would like any information people have about possible lawsuits or action against this company.
